Qi healing for Animals

Qigong is a natural, gentle, non-invasive way to help your pets physically, emotionally, and behaviorally. It will not cause harm, has no side effects, and can be used in conjunction with other holistic therapies or conventional medical treatments.

Animals also benefit

The main difference between people and animals receiving Qigong Healing sessions is just this: Animals are wide open and receptive to allow in the most productive session possible. Animals naturally understand and respond to this non-invasive healing modality for what it is and what it does for them, not because they anticipate any benefits or because they feel safe and assured by the therapist. But because energy healing is more easily transmitted and received as animals tend to have less resistance to change than humans.

Benefits include:

  1. • Ease chronic painful conditions such as arthritis or joint pain

  2. • Address emotional issues such as fear, separation anxiety, depression, or aggression

  3. • Help the healing process after injury or surgery

  4. • Reduce pain and discomfort from cancer or leukemia and their treatments

  5. • Help an animal who has experienced abuse to recover from the trauma

  6. • Help a pet who is grieving

  7. • Immune strengthening

  8. • End stage care

  9. • As a preventive measure, to help your dog’s energy stay in balance

Why Animals Need Energy Healing

Animals can suffer from physical problems just like we do, and living a human-created lifestyle can trigger many conditions, including emotional problems. Animals are very sensitive to human moods and to atmospheres in the home environment. This complex soup of energies can be very unsettling for them and will affect their own emotional and mental state. Animals can suffer from stress just as much as humans do.

In the wild some stress is necessary to enable the animal to learn how to survive, defend itself, find a mate or seek food. With captive or domesticated animals, stress is due to a restricted or unnatural lifestyle, boredom, overcrowding, emotional changes, lack of exercise and stimulation, incorrect diet, over-breeding, grief, fear of humans or abuse leads to a very unhealthy and unhappy animal. Your animal companion may have suffered from some of these conditions before you got it, so it is good to give energy healing to help it let go of negative energy and to strengthen the immune system. Qigong Therapy doesn’t just target specific areas but the whole being of the animal. Treating the whole body at a deep level has a positive rollover effect everywhere and individual problems may resolve themselves. The benefits are endless.

When pets reach the end of their lifetime it can be traumatic for the pet as well as the individual or family who was blessed by their presence if they are suffering due to ill health. However the illness, pain or limitation a pet may experience can be alleviated or diminished with Qigong treatments.

In working with the animals, I follow these guidelines:

  • I work in partnership with the animal.

  • I always ask permission of the animal before beginning, and respect his or her decision to accept or refuse any treatment.

  • I allow each animal to choose how to receive his or her treatment; thus each treatment could be a combination of hands-on, short distance and/or distant healing, depending on the animal's preference.

  • I let go of my expectations about how the treatment should progress and/or how the animal should behave during the treatment, and simply trust the flow of energy.

  • I accept the results of the treatment without judgment and with gratitude to the healing energies of the Universe.

How Many Energy Sessions will Your Animal Companion Need?

The number of treatments needed will depend on the condition(s) being treated, the age of the animal, and its response to the energy session. Chronic conditions will usually need more sessions than acute ones. If the problem is strictly emotion-based then maybe just one or two treatments, provided there are no other considerations. For therapeutic healing when the animal is healthy, a session every three to four months is normally adequate.

Qigong Treatment is suitable for any animal and any condition. It is not a replacement for Veterinary care.
